In Week 14, it appears that LA will be without their starting tight end.
This coming Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams travel to Baltimore to play the Baltimore Ravens, and they may be without Tyler Higbee, their starting tight end. At the moment, Higbee is marked as dubious. Usually, that indicates the player won’t be wearing a suit, but odder things have happened. The NFL season is in its fourteenth week, and I’m guessing that every player is injured in some capacity. Even though Higbee seems to get hurt every other week, he hasn’t yet stopped playing. Whatever the problem, the player appears to be stopping him at this point.
For the Rams, Higbee isn’t having the best receiving season. That doesn’t mean he hasn’t continued to have a positive influence, as demonstrated by his two touchdown performance in Week 12 against the Arizona Caridnals. Though I believe he is one of the NFL’s most reliable tight ends overall, I’m sure fans can point out some of his drops or errors. He’s probably underappreciated.
NFL teams must adjust as the season progresses. Hunter Long and Brycen Hopkins are two options available to the Rams; perhaps they can work things out. In actuality, this was going to be a difficult matchup whether or not Higbee participated. Arguably, one of the league’s top teams has been the Ravens. What more could you want to know with a 9-3 record?
Without a doubt, LA will have their hands full. I hope they can recover from this without suffering any more serious injuries.
