Despite adding veteran kicker Mason Crosby to the practice squad this week, the Los Angeles Rams seem prepared to stick with their current lineup for their Sunday matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.

Regarding potentially moving Crosby up to the 53-man roster, Rams head coach Sean McVay stated on Friday, “We haven’t decided that yet. It is highly unlikely that we will take that turn. However, we’ll see.”

After taking over from Brett Maher in five games, rookie kicker Lucas Havrisik has made seven of ten field goals attempts. Crosby was expected to replace him. Havrisik is a strong-legged player, but in the last two weeks, his kicks have drifted to the right, and he has missed two field goals.

Crosby was signed by the Rams (6-6) on Wednesday. After making 25 of 29 field goals with the Green Bay Packers in 2022, Crosby became a free agent and tried out for the Rams on October 25. However, Havrisik, 24, of the Cleveland Browns practice squad, was signed by Los Angeles instead.

Crosby, 39, is the all-time leading scorer (1,918 points) for the Packers, having played kicker for them from 2007 to 22. Crosby’s 395 field goals put him 13th in NFL history.

Additionally, McVay announced that tight end Tyler Higbee, who suffered a neck stinger in last Sunday’s victory over the Browns, will be listed as doubtful going into the weekend.

Along with defensive back/safety Quentin Lake (hamstring), outside linebackers Michael Hoecht (knee) and Byron Young (knee) are listed as questionable. On Friday, there will be limited practice for all three.
