Coach Sean McVay declared on Friday that the Los Angeles Rams, which include starting quarterback Matthew Stafford, are as healthy as they have been since the beginning of the season.

Due to a sprained thumb, Stafford missed the team’s 20-6 loss to the Green Bay Packers. This forced Los Angeles to take a much-needed bye week, which will allow several injured players to play this Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.

Having missed just one game, Stafford is likely the most well-known player scheduled to play. Against Green Bay, Stafford was replaced by Brett Rypien, but he struggled and was waived two days later.

Stafford, who has been fully involved in practice this week, is scheduled to play on Sunday. McVay has mentioned how much he has valued Stafford’s leadership this week and how he has seen good practice performances.

McVay remarked, “He’s looked really good. Really, I haven’t noticed anything. He is hurling the ball like one of our most exceptional and gifted players. He exudes a lot of energy. He has shown excellent leadership throughout the week and is eager to end it on the correct note.

“Let’s hope that results in our group giving a strong performance on Sunday.”

According to McVay, Stafford will wear a flexible brace to help stabilize the UCL in his thumb in the hopes that it won’t move past specific thresholds. Stafford has not appeared to be restricted by the brace in practice, according to McVay.

During the season, Stafford, 35 years of age, has completed 2,070 yards, eight touchdowns, and seven interceptions on 59.7% of his passes.

With Stafford and many other players healthy, Los Angeles (3-6) believes it has the pieces to make the playoffs. However, the team needs to make a strong second half push to get there.

This Sunday, the Rams will kick off their march inside SoFi Stadium at 1:25 p.m. PST against the Seahawks (6-3).
