The Rams have a big one against the Seahawks this weekend, and Matthew Stafford plans to play despite his thumb injury.
Only a few seasons ago did the Los Angeles Rams win the Super Bowl, but they haven’t been able to regain their elite status since. The Rams’ season was ruined by an injury sustained by quarterback Matthew Stafford during the previous year. With nine games played, Los Angeles is currently 3-6, and Stafford is dealing with yet another injury, this year hasn’t been much better. Although he has recently had to miss some time, he should be ready to play this weekend when the Rams play the Seattle Seahawks. Los Angeles must triumph.
Despite the fact that his thumb injury may not be fully healed just yet, Matthew Stafford is still confident in his ability to play.
“How do I want to? Regarding his ability to grip the ball, Stafford reportedly said, “Um, still working on it,” as reported by USA Today. “No, I’m pretty confident in my ability to play at a high level when I go out there.”
After being able to rejoin the Rams’ practice, Stafford feels quite satisfied with his current state of recuperation.
Stafford went on, “I practiced outside today and was able to throw it around.” “To try to let you know that everything in there has kind of settled down, it’s a delicate balance between rest and rehab as much as I can manage. At the same time, you understand that at some point you have to go out there and see what you got. I was able to do that a little bit on Monday and then full practice today just doing everything we wanted to do.” Feel quite good about it, then.
Prior to joining the Rams, Stafford had to deal with another thumb injury, but he was able to play through it. He had previously suffered an injury to his middle finger as well, but thumb injuries are more difficult to treat.
“Different injury,” according to Stafford.” My finger was kind of down because I had popped the tendon in the back with a mallet. I’m not sure. Every person who makes contact with the ball matters. Thumb, possibly the most, so it’s undoubtedly difficult. Evidently, something similar was played for the entirety of the 2020 season, or at least for the second half. Having done it once, I can do it once more.”
