Gary Neville, a pundit, cannot believe what Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is saying as he requested a rematch with Tottenham Hotspur.

In their handling of the VAR drama from Saturday’s game against Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool has “grabbed defeat from victory.”

Gary Neville, a commentator, expressed that opinion on Twitter after hearing Jurgen Klopp’s remarks this afternoon.

On Saturday, Liverpool lost 2-1 to Tottenham Hotspur, but only after a contentious series of incidents.

The first half ended with Curtis Jones being dismissed, while the second half ended with Diogo Jota being dismissed for receiving two yellow cards.

The main bone of disagreement is that a goal scored by Luis Diaz was wrongly disallowed for offside, and the PGMOL has acknowledged a serious communication breakdown on the part of the VAR team.

Tottenham and Liverpool should play again, according to Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool has been demanding the release of the audio from the VAR communication as part of the ongoing investigation into this entire issue.

The incident took place on Tuesday, and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has since provided his opinion.

According to Klopp, replaying the game would be the only just outcome in this situation, as he stated to Sky Sports.

While acknowledging that not everyone will share his opinion, Klopp is of the opinion that doing so is best for football.

It would be shocking if the Premier League decided in favour of a replay because this would be a wholly unheard-of circumstance.

However, Klopp has publicly asked for one, so the argument will likely continue.

Gary Neville responds to remarks made by Klopp

In response to Klopp’s remarks, Gary Neville has now voiced his opinion on social media.

Neville, who thinks Liverpool is stealing this argument from them, finds it hard to believe what he’s hearing.

We can only presume that Neville thinks that Liverpool was legitimately deserving of sympathy after the drama on Saturday, but many people will have their minds changed by the way they handled the matter by demanding the release of the VAR audio, threatening to ‘escalate’ the situation, and now requesting a replay.

Neville continued, saying that although the incident had “wronged” Liverpool, it should now be over and the Reds should move on.

Neville has further stated that the requests for a rematch are “madness,” as though Klopp should have no possibility of obtaining the replay he desires.
