Liverpool’s 23-man roster for their Thursday night Europa League opener against Austrian team LASK has been announced.
Prior to Thursday’s opening-round meeting against LASK in the Europa League, Liverpool has announced its matchday lineup.
For the first time since they made the final in 2016, the Reds are back in the competition under Jurgen Klopp. After a strong start to the new season, the manager will probably use the game as an opportunity to rotate some of his team.
Liverpool has won four of its first five games and is optimistic that they can continue that streak against the Austrian team. LASK earned a spot in the Europa League by taking third place in the Austrian Bundesliga; yet, they had just recently traveled to Europe, having advanced to the Conference League round of 16 in 2022.
The addition of captain Virgil van Dijk, who served his suspension for the red card he received at Newcastle, has strengthened Klopp’s team. Trent Alexander Arnold, who sustained a slight hamstring injury against Aston Villa, was excluded from the 23-man roster as he recovers.
Jarrell Quansah, who recently made his club debut, is still a member of the team, as is 17-year-old forward Ben Doak, who earlier this week inked a new contract with the organization.
The complete 23-man matchday roster for Liverpool’s match against LASK is listed below:
