The Rams’ tenure with Mason Crosby is already over. Due to Lucas Havrisik’s struggles, the seasoned kicker was added to the practice squad. Rumor had it that, should he be promoted to the active roster, he would start the game. Against the Ravens, Crosby was declared inactive for the first time in his playing career.
Now, Crosby intends to pursue a career elsewhere. After a 2022 season in which Crosby converted on 86.2 percent of his field goal attempts and 37 of his 39 XP tries, the Packers parted ways with their all-time leading scorer.
In addition to being the cousin of Brady Breeze, a practice squad safety for the Texans, Chase Cota is the son of former NFL safety Chad Cota. The wide receiver transferred to Oregon for the 2022 season after spending four years at UCLA. By the end of the season, he had set career highs in receiving yards (497), touchdowns (3), and receptions (36). Before making an impact with the Chiefs practice squad, he played for the Lions during the preseason. He was cut from the taxi squad last week after playing most of the 2023 season in Kansas City.
