Sunday night’s game was hard-fought by the Los Angeles Lakers, who were led by LeBron James, who once again performed like a player from the past. LeBron led the Lakers past the Rockets by taking over the game and making sure to teach Dillon Brooks a lesson.

This is part of the NBA’s all-time leading scorer’s continuing remarkable 2023–24 season. LeBron hasn’t slowed down at all in season 21, as he consistently presents himself as an MVP-caliber player.

The fact that the team is expecting so much of the soon-to-be 39-year-old this early in the season is a little concerning, even though it is fantastic for the Lake Show if this version of LeBron is here in May. Some fans may have realized that after the game against the Rockets, but LeBron’s candid remark also raised some possible concerns.

As LeBron James acknowledges that he doesn’t feel well, Lakers supporters are concerned.

Considering that LeBron James is not at full strength, it is truly amazing that he is still able to perform at this level of intensity at his age. Nonetheless, the team must stand back, assess the situation from a distance, and avoid getting caught up in the splendor of LeBron’s performance.

No matter how good LeBron is in November, if the Lakers run him dry and he can’t muster any production in the postseason, it won’t matter. Whether you like it or not, LeBron James will be 39 years old when the playoffs begin, and he has struggled with injuries recently.

Even though it’s amazing to watch him play like this every night, head coach Darvin Ham must take charge and bring LeBron in. In the season’s opening game, LeBron only played 29 minutes, and according to Ham, that would be the norm for the remainder of the campaign. LeBron made it clear that he disagreed and prevailed in their argument.

LeBron has played 35 minutes or more in nine games so far, averaging 34.4 minutes per game. Even though it might not seem like much, only ten NBA players have played nine games with 35 or more minutes this season. James ranks 22nd in the season for minutes played.

Although basketball in November is fantastic, it is far less significant than basketball in April, May, and June. When the games start to matter more, the Lakers need to keep that in mind and make sure LeBron James can play.
