Liverpool is having difficulties on many fronts, but certain first-team players are still out of the lineup.

As Liverpool’s busy schedule continues, Jurgen Klopp is confronted with a well-known injury list.

With just three points separating them from the top spot in the Premier League and their Carabao Cup and Europa League campaigns still on track, the Reds are in excellent form.

However, the midfield duo of Thiago and Stefan Bajcetic have been missed by the Liverpool manager, while Andy Robertson is still noticeably absent.

Andy Robertson

Following shoulder surgery, Andy Robertson will be sidelined for an extended period of time.

When pressed last week about a projected return date, Klopp declined to provide an estimated time frame for the left-back’s injury, which he sustained while playing for Scotland on international duty earlier this month.

“He’s had his surgery and it all went well, as good as it could be,” Klopp stated.

“We don’t know how long it will take but the first step is done.”

Potential return date: January 2024

Thiago Alcantara

Thiago Alcantara underwent hip surgery at the end of the previous season, therefore Liverpool has had to play without him for the entire season thus far.

The midfield player was on the verge of making a comeback earlier this month, but he has since experienced two setbacks and is still sidelined. The team has not given an update on his injury status.

Possible date of return: November 2023

Stefan Bajcetic

This season, Stefan Bajcetic has at least made an appearance. In September, he made his injury comeback by starting against LASK and then substituting off the bench against Leicester one week later.

However, Klopp claims that the midfield player “felt something else” and has been sidelined ever then.

Similar to Thiago, Bajcetic has not provided many updates lately, indicating that a return to first-team activity is not likely.

Possible date of return: November 2023

Ben Doak

While playing for Scotland U21s on international duty earlier this month, teenager Ben Doak sustained a muscular injury; however, it is not thought to be a significant problem.

Prior to his team’s victory over Nottingham Forest on Sunday, Klopp stated, “[He] has a little muscle thing, so we have to see but is not available for the weekend.”

Possible return date: November 9, 2023, Thursday, against Toulouse

Conor Bradley

After suffering a stress fracture to his back at the end of August, it was announced that Conor Bradley would be sidelined for eight to twelve weeks.

Only that he is “making progress” in his recuperation has been disclosed by Liverpool; nevertheless, comments made by Klopp at the beginning of the month implied that the team would be forgiving of Bradley’s comeback.

He continued: “With these kind of injuries you tend to give them rather three weeks more than not enough because it has to do with the growing process of the body and stuff like this.”

Possible date of return: December 2023
