With dominating win in the books, we want you to help us choose Liverpool’s man of the match.

The Reds dominated everything from the beginning to the end. Liverpool was in complete control of the game from the off, showed patience, and consistently and fluidly attacked Nottingham Forest. Once again, Darwin Núñez was an incredible force, wreaking havoc both on and off the ball.

For the first, he forced a nice save from Diogo Jota, and for the second, he made the run to bank the ball in from close range. In addition to scoring the goal, Jota created a lot of problems for the Nottingham Forest defence.

He also receives credit for acknowledging his teammate, Luis Diaz, who is still missing after being abducted, by waving up his kit after he scored.

Once again, Dominik Szoboszlai was everywhere at once and ended up with two assists, while the second one might have been a bit of a fortuitous one. The custodian misplayed his long ball badly, causing it to bounce outside the box and give Mohamed Salah an open chance to score. For his part, Salah accepted his goal nicely and kept up his crucial role as a playmaker and hold-up man. The second goal was set up by his ball to Szoboszlai.

Tell us now what you thought of it. Now that we’ve reduced the field of options to a few players we believe have played the best for the Reds, you can cast your vote for the player you believe should be the Man of the Match. Alternatively, you can tell us that we got it wrong by not even including the true man of the match in the options.

As always, a reminder that if you’re wanting to vote but are unable to view the poll, you may make it available by going to The Liverpool Offside’s top page and loading the entire story from there. This applies to anyone viewing on Apple News or Google AMP as well.
