Latest Nottingham Forest news from NottinghamshireLive ahead of the Reds’ trip to Liverpool on Sunday
A “tough” Premier League matchup between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest is expected on Sunday, according to Kostas Tsimikas’ warning to his teammates.
After a dismal 2022–23 season in which they finished fifth, Jurgen Klopp’s team is going to be a real title contender this season. They have gone a full year without losing at home in all competitions.
Even though they have lost their previous five games, Steve Cooper’s team has also had a rather successful start to the campaign. Additionally, Forest hasn’t triumphed at Anfield since February 1969.
However, Liverpool defender Tsimikas thinks his team’s encounter with Cooper’s squad this weekend will be difficult this afternoon. This season, the defender has already made five appearances.
“It would be difficult for us since every Premier League game is extremely difficult, he informed Premier League Productions prior to the match.
“However, I believe that everyone is fully concentrated on this game. We put forth a lot of effort into this game every day.
“It will be extremely difficult, but the team will be fully committed, fully focused, and fully prepared to take on this challenge,” the author said.
He said, “[It’s] because of the fans, the extra motivation they give you every single time you play there,” in response to a question concerning their excellent home record. Everyone is aware of your movements and constantly tries to exert pressure on you in an effort to offer you every advantage possible during the game. That seems to be the primary concern.
“As a player, I always feel like I have more power, more running, and more needs for my game when I play here [at Anfield].” That, in my opinion, is the most crucial factor.
