Liverpool’s pre-Everton training session yesterday saw the return of a couple of familiar faces.

After missing the previous two games, the good news was that Cody Gakpo is back in shape and appears to be available.

However, as witnessed in LFCTV’s ‘Inside Training’ series, the Reds were also fortunate to have backup goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher.

Kelleher did not receive an Ireland call-up for the latest internationals due to a knee ailment, according to reports.

The 24-year-old, like Gakpo, missed the previous two games, giving up the chance to start against Union Saint-Gilloise in the Europa League.

However, footage from yesterday revealed that Kelleher is back and working with the group.

In addition to working out in the gym alongside his teammates, the £20 million-rated Irishman [The Athletic] was observed out on the grass with Alisson Becker and the rest of the goalkeepers. That’s fantastic news.

Kelleher is back in training in Liverpool.

Kelleher, like Gakpo, was likely to miss the game against Everton tomorrow.

However, with both players appearing to be available, Jurgen Klopp will be without only four players on Saturday.

The extent of Andy Robertson’s dislocated shoulder has yet to be made public. Klopp may reveal this information during his press conference today. Regardless, the Scot will most likely miss the game tomorrow.

Curtis Jones is another player who has little chance of participating. The second of his three-game suspension will be served by the Scouser.

Thiago Alcantara has yet to make his long-awaited return, while Stefan Bajcetic is also in doubt.

Kelleher will also not play against the Toffees. Unless there’s an emergency with Alisson, that is. The Reds’ No. 1 did fly to South America for international service, but he did not play for Brazil. He shouldn’t have to sit this one out.

However, a Europa League match against Toulouse is scheduled for Thursday. Caoimhin will be glad to be back to fill in for Alisson, Kelleher, and Liverpool in general for that one.
