For the crucial match against Everton on Saturday, up to six first-team players for Liverpool could be absent.

The Reds are back at Anfield this weekend after playing two Premier League games away. With their neighbourhood rivals in town, Liverpool must simply resume their winning ways.

However, it won’t be simple because Sean Dyche’s team is coming off a 3-0 victory against Bournemouth. Additionally, The Mirror reports that Liverpool’s task will be made a little bit harder by the squad’s half-dozen absences.

Curtis Jones, who is still out on suspension, will definitely miss out, and it appears that Thiago Alcantara and Caoimhin Kelleher won’t have any chance of participating either.

Cody Gakpo, Stefan Bajcetic, and Andy Robertson are thought to be “doubtful” to succeed in the meantime.

But Robertson’s name might as well be added to the list of “certain.” He might be gone for a very long time. It’s likely because the full degree of his shoulder ailment hasn’t been disclosed that he’s claimed to be still in with a shot.

According to reports, Everton is in somewhat better shape. However, Dyche might be without four members of the starting lineup. There are rumours of doubts surrounding Dele Alli, Seamus Coleman, Andre Gomes, and Idrissa Gana Gueye.

Liverpool missing half dozen for derby

There are a few probable starters among the six guys named below. These are the kinds of wounds that might harm Liverpool.

Bajcetic, who did start and perform well in this match last season, and Kelleher, of course, do not belong in such category.

But under normal conditions, any one of the other four names might start for Liverpool.

Without a doubt, Robertson would be a lock for the starting XI. The 29-year-old looks forward to these kinds of situations, and the team will be less successful without him.

Jones’ significance to Klopp has increased significantly as well, and being a local guy, he may be on Klopp’s side in this match. On paper, Thiago remains the Reds’ best midfielder, in contrast.

Gakpo is another option. The £44 million acquisition made his debut for Liverpool in the Anfield derby last season and was back in the lineup before getting hurt against Tottenham.

We wouldn’t count out the Dutchman just yet because Klopp has stated that Cody will be prepared to play after the international break. We’ll just have to take this one without the other five and win it without them.
