The Premier League season has seen a good amount of injuries for Liverpool, and several important players will likely be out for the upcoming Merseyside derby against Everton.

After a 2-2 draw with Brighton just before the break, Liverpool will be looking to get back on the winning track. Now that the schedule is filling up, the team has Toulouse in Europe to play before Everton and Nottingham Forest. It appears that some wounded athletes won’t be able to play again until November.

Update on Liverpool’s injuries.

The fact that Liverpool sustained injuries over the international break and will now have to make do with fewer players will not please manager Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool will want to make sure they reach the Champions League this year after a disappointing campaign prevented them from doing so the previous year. With them also participating in the Europa League, they require a full squad to ensure they are fighting right at the top.

Here are the most recent Liverpool team injury updates:

Thiago Alcantara

UPDATE LAST MADE: October 6, 2023

The transfer of Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich to Liverpool was highly anticipated. Sadly, injuries have prevented fans from seeing as much of him as they would have liked. The Spaniard is now out with a groyne ailment. By now, he was supposed to be back, but he has now missed two training sessions owing to injuries. The midfielder feels that the upcoming games are coming up too quickly.

Return Date Anticipated: November 1, 2023

Stefan Bajcetic

UPDATED LAST: September 29, 2023

Stefan Bajcetic has been hurt since the end of September because of a minor calf problem. The versatile player, who is a product of Liverpool’s academy, just underwent long-term surgery, so the team is taking extra precautions with this latest injury and making sure the 18-year-old is completely well before he is added to the matchday squad. He should have been able to play by now, but his present injury caused a setback, so regrettably he isn’t.

Return Date: October 21, 2023
