Leroy Sane, an attacker for Bayern Munich who was recently linked with a move to Liverpool, is rumoured to have made it plain when he wants to decide on his future.
In light of Liverpool links, Bayern Munich striker Leroy Sane is said to want to make a “fundamental decision” about his future next summer.
The Reds have made the former Manchester City winger their top priority over the weekend in order to replace Mohamed Salah.
According to a report from the Mirror, Jurgen Klopp was prepared to break the club’s record transfer fee paid for Darwin Nunez’s departure from Benfica.
Saudi Arabia has been showing interest in Salah. Al-Ittihad put Liverpool’s determination to the test during the summer when a verbal offer of up to £150 million was made for the Egyptian on the last day of the transfer window.
Although the Reds were able to keep their top player, there is always a chance that the kingdom would show further interest after Saudi Pro League director of football Michael Emenalo said that Salah would be welcome in the league.
Regarding Sane, the German news site BILD reported on Monday (October 16) that the 27-year-old wants to make a “fundamental decision” about his future next summer.
Real Madrid is reportedly one of the teams keeping an eye on the issue with the German international.
Sane’s contract at the Allianz Arena has just under two years still to go, and according to BILD, no club official in Bavaria has as of yet requested talks about an extension.
Although Sane has expressed his admiration for Klopp in the past despite turning down the chance of a move to Anfield earlier in his career when leaving Schalke for Manchester City, The ECHO understands that it would be against normal transfer policy for Liverpool to pursue a player who will be 28 in January.
