After losing elite players like Dominik Szoboszlai and Josko Gvardiol in the summer, clubs like Liverpool, Manchester United, and Chelsea may find it difficult to secure the transfer of RB Leipzig striker Lois Openda.
It’s unclear if Openda would be ready to move again right now since he only recently joined Leipzig from Lens, but it appears that some big Premier League clubs are interested in signing him.
Football Insider mentions links to Liverpool, Manchester United, and Chelsea, but their report emphasises that Leipzig will almost probably not entertain letting the Belgian forward depart this January.
Openda will undoubtedly be a player to watch in the future, though, as he’s displaying great promise in the Bundesliga and continuing his impressive form from Ligue 1 last season.
Given that Darwin Nunez has been inconsistent this year and that United and Chelsea have also struggled up front, Liverpool may feel that he is a more consistent finisher than Darwin Nunez.
At Old Trafford, Marcus Rashford has seriously lost his mojo, while Nicolas Jackson has been thrown into the deep end at Stamford Bridge. Both teams clearly need a man with more experience.
