• Liverpool have won their last seven games in all competitions
  • Reds most recently beat Leicester in the Carabao Cup third round in midweek
  • Trent Alexander-Arnold could miss out on selection with injury

When Liverpool visits fellow unbeaten Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday night, they will look to extend their winning streak overall to eight games.

The Reds trail only Manchester City in the English top division after trailing in three of their last four games, all of which finished in 3-1 victory.

After last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal in the north London derby, they are two points behind a Spurs team they haven’t lost to since 2017.

Here is the team that manager Jurgen Klopp could use to extend the winning streak.

Liverpool predicted lineup vs Tottenham (4-3-3)

GK: Alisson – Despite having only one clean sheet so far this season, he is still undoubtedly the finest goalkeeper in the Premier League.

RB: Joe Gomez – Trent Alexander-Arnold remains an injury doubt having not played since the 3-0 win over Aston Villa earlier this month. In the matchup with Leicester, Curtis Jones started at right-back, but Gomez should go in as Alexander-Arnold is on league duty.

CB: Joel Matip – The center-back, who joined Liverpool in 2016, recently reaffirmed his intention to remain at Anfield as his contract is set to expire the next year.

CB: Virgil van Dijk – Anointed as “one of the best defenders in the Premier League” by Micky van de Ven, a fellow countryman and opponent of Spurs.

LB: Andy Robertson – Despite the fact that Kostas Tsimikas conceded a goal while attempting to win a free kick against Leicester, Robertson would have started the game regardless of how the Greece international fared.

CM: Dominik Szoboszlai – Szoboszlai, who scored an incredible goal on Wednesday, has adapted the quickest since joining Liverpool in the summer.

CM: Alexis Mac Allister – came in third on Tottenham defender Cristian Romero’s list of Premier League players from Argentina.

CM: Curtis Jones – was moved to right-back in a midweek rotation, and Klopp said he convinced the midfielder to make the switch by designating him as the team’s captain.

RW: Mohamed Salah – Has either scored or assisted in his last 12 games across all competitions and was rested against Leicester.

ST: Darwin Nunez – Nunez is getting better every week, so the fight between Romero and the agent of mayhem might go down in history.

LW: Diogo Jota – scored the game-winning goal in a tense 4-3 victory against Tottenham in April of this year, his second versus Spurs while wearing the red and white of Liverpool.
