Despite hyperextending his knee against Arsenal, The Times reported that Tottenham is confident James Maddison will play against Liverpool.

Midway through the second half at the Emirates, Maddison experienced the issue, but he proceeded to play for nine more minutes after receiving treatment before being removed at the 78-minute mark.

Football.Alasdair Gold of London claimed on Monday that the midfielder was moving normally when he handled his media responsibilities following the game.

The England international’s initial reaction to his knee, he continued, is “positive,” but he is due to undergo a scan to make sure everything is in order.

Tottenham are now hopeful that Maddison will return.

According to a recent report in The Times, Spurs officials currently believe that Maddison’s injury is not significant and that the midfielder will be ready to play against Liverpool on Saturday.

According to the article, the 26-year-old trained on the grass at Hotspur Way after performing certain tests, and the medical staff will closely monitor him over the following few days in case he experiences any difficulty.

Maddison, 26, is too crucial for us for Postecoglou to take a chance on even a minor discomfort against Liverpool.

The Australian’s problem is that Lo Celso is now also sidelined with an injury, so if the England international is not declared fit, he may have to play Johnson or Kulusevski as an eight.
