Darwin Nunez helped Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool defeat West Ham United 3-1 on Sunday at Anfield, and Tim Sherwood has praised his skills.

According to Premier League Productions (24/09/23 at 9:15 pm), the former champion with Blackburn acknowledged that Darwin Nunez is a “huge asset now” and that he “wouldn’t want to play” against him.

The 24-year-old provided a goal and an assist for Jurgen Klopp’s team to open their Europa League account with three points last week.

Yesterday in the Premier League, Darwin Nunez continued that trend. Alexis Mac Allister’s pinpoint cross found his teammate in the exact middle of the penalty box, and he finished it beautifully on the first attempt.

The previously criticized attacker now has four goals and two assists across all competitions, showing that he is starting to settle down in Merseyside.

Sherwood, a former manager of Tottenham and Aston Villa, declared that he has always been an admirer of the powerful striker, who may aid Liverpool in their bid to win the Premier League this year.

Darwin Nunez is Liverpool’s star player.

“He (Nunez) is back to his best,” said Sherwood. “Causing havoc up there for any defenders. I really like Liverpool and I think they are going to challenge for the Premier League title.

“He is a nuisance. I wouldn’t want to play against him. He is a pest. He runs you in-behind. He can take the ball. He is a good size and backs in.

“He isn’t technically very clean, but sometimes, that’s his biggest asset – I think he is a real threat. I think he is a huge asset to Liverpool now.”

For Liverpool, Darwin Nunez will shine.

With Nunez, it was always a matter of having patience and he would provide the results. Last season, you could see both the promise and the immaturity in his play.

Prior to exploding into one of the top forwards in the Premier League, he simply needed to play in England for a full year. He will ultimately reach that point.

There is no denying that this Liverpool team is capable of scoring goals, and it might keep them motivated to fight Manchester City for the Premier League crown.
