Federico Chiesa’s contract negotiations with Juventus are apparently about to begin in an effort to deter Liverpool from acquiring the winger.

TuttoJuve claims that the Italian powerhouses will soon start talks with the international about extending his spell in Turin and discouraging Liverpool from signing Chiesa.

The Italian international, who is valued at £43 million, has been linked to the Reds for some time, and Liverpool might make a bid for Chiesa in 2019 if Mohamed Salah decides to leave Anfield.

Many consider the 25-year-old to be one of the best wingers in the world of football, and Jurgen Klopp is rumored to be a big fan of the player.

In addition, Juventus is now taking action to prevent Chiesa from joining Liverpool because the Old Lady is eager to hold contract negotiations with the striker.

Chiesa would be a great addition to Liverpool, but Juventus’ current attitude on the attacker may make it difficult for the Reds to get him to Anfield.

Liverpool will hope that Chiesa declines the Juventus offer.

The recent news may put an end to Liverpool’s ambitions of acquiring Chiesa, who has been linked to the club for what feels like an eternity.

Therefore, Liverpool will have to hope that Chiesa rejects any prospective advances from Juventus regarding a new deal, which the attacker might do.

The Italian powerhouses did attempt to offload Chiesa this summer, but if Juventus were to change their mind, the winger might be persuaded to leave Turin for the Premier League.
