Liverpool will keep an eye on the £60,000 per week star at Anfield.

Transfer insider Dean Jones told GIVEMESPORT that Liverpool would keep tabs on Jarrod Bowen’s development and availability despite a rumored development that might occur before the summer transfer window.

In recent months, Bowen is claimed to have gained the attention of the Liverpool leadership, and some have speculated that he would be signed as Mohamed Salah’s replacement, should the Egyptian decide to move for greener pastures.

Jarrod Bowen, a transfer from Liverpool

Bowen, a talented player for West Ham United, is ‘unbelievable’. Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, used the term to describe the forward during the 2021–2022 season. The German acknowledged following Bowen’s development from his time with Hull City. The English international is once again being mentioned in the same sentence as the Merseyside club now that focus has shifted to prospective Reds arrivals for the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to journalist Paul Brown, should Salah leave Liverpool in the next 12 months, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Reds pursue Bowen, who is valued at £60 million by teammate Michail Antonio, as a replacement. The dependable source also asserted that the two players have some’similarities’ in their styles of play.

Ben Jacobs also disclosed to GIVEMESPORT that Salah was likely going to leave Anfield by this time next year given the intense interest from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad. Due to this, even if West Ham are successful in signing the forward to a new contract, there is talk that Bowen may be headed to Liverpool.

What has Dean Jones said regarding Liverpool and Jarrod Bowen?

Jones, a transfer insider, acknowledged a move to Liverpool was still possible but suggested West Ham would attempt to extend Bowen’s £60,000 per week deal, which is now slated to expire at the end of the upcoming season. The writer thinks Bowen might follow Declan Rice’s lead with a high-profile move next summer, citing the happiness Rice has felt since leaving east London for fellow capital club Arsenal this summer.

According to Jones, Bowen’s prospects right now are as follows:

“I think it makes sense that Bowen signs a new contract at West Ham. I don’t think it would come as a surprise to Liverpool if he does that. There’s going to come a time when Bowen will have options to leave West Ham and I think you’ll consider it as well.

“It’s not that he will want to leave, but he’ll see for example, what’s happened to Declan Rice and the rise in profile that he’s just had since leaving West Ham. You can just see the aura around Rice since leaving that he felt ready for something a bit bigger. And while West Ham is a big club, it’s not as big as an Arsenal or a Liverpool or a Man United. And at some point, Bowen is going to have that opportunity.

“I think that Liverpool will continue monitoring Bowen, as they’ve admired him for quite a while and knowing that the Salah exit probably isn’t too far away, now they should still be looking at it.”

What has changed recently about Mohamed Salah’s relocation to Saudi Arabia?

One of the biggest transfer stories of the summer transfer season had been predicted to emerge from it. Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia reportedly had such a strong desire to sign Salah that they were prepared to smash the transfer record to get him to the Middle East. Salah was reportedly offered a contract for up to £215 million (including bonuses), but Klopp and company were adamant on keeping hold of him, so for the time being, he’s still a Liverpool player.

Sky Sports, however, asserts that a different approach is anticipated from Saudi Arabia when the transfer season reopens, possibly in the winter or summer. The two years left on Salah’s contract will also have diminished by then, and there may even be rumors that by then the great attacker would have aged further and may have decided to leave Merseyside for Saudi Arabia.

What will Liverpool do next this season?

In the event that Salah leaves, it is anticipated that Liverpool would immediately begin looking to replace him, with Bowen being one of the names mentioned as a possible choice. Over the weekend, the former Hereford United player had the chance to impress Klopp, who is still most likely quite interested in him.

Now, all eyes will be on Liverpool’s midweek cup match against Leicester City before the thrilling end-of-September match in north London versus Tottenham Hotspur. The Reds conclude up before the October international break with a trip to the south coast to face Brighton & Hove Albion. Royale Union Saint-Gilloise then travel to Anfield for a Europa League group encounter.
