After a strong start to the season, Liverpool fans will be feeling upbeat, and it appears that David Moyes has taken notice of our performances away from Anfield.
The Scot said of the Reds in a media interview, as quoted by whufc.com:
“Liverpool can challenge for the title this year. People say we’ve made a good start to the season but Liverpool have won all their games but one so far.
“Overall, they’ve had a good start. They are also introducing new players into their squad like us. From a distance though, it looks like Liverpool are starting to get into their best form”.
Merseyside has undergone a lot of change this summer following a disappointing season last time out, but thankfully we’ve seen new players quickly integrate into a fantastic team.
Alexis Mac Allister has also been a huge plus, and we enjoyed respectable cameos from Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo in our opening Europa League match. Dominik Szoboszlai seems to have been the headline maker.
It’s all looking good when you consider that we haven’t lost, have proven our ability to come back from deficits, and are currently enjoying the best streak in the Premier League in terms of not dropping a game since April.
Although it is exciting to hear from those outside the club that there is a belief we could win the championship by the end of May, there is still a long way to go before this can be taken seriously.
With the primary goal of regaining our Champions League status for the following season, Jurgen Klopp will stick to his old adage of taking each game one at a time while still holding out hope for success in each of the four competitions we are competing in.
Anything beyond that will be a bonus, whether it comes from a top-four finish or a Europa League triumph. If we continue in this vein, there’s no reason why this season can’t go down in history.
