Ryan Gravenberch’s ‘unbelievable’ debut start for Liverpool in the 3-1 comeback victory over LASK left Harvey Elliott speechless.

Before a cramp forced the Dutchman off the field, he provided an assist for Luis Diaz’s goal in the second half and was a dynamic presence in the middle of the park.

It was incredible. According to the midfielder, Ryan “brings that dynamism in the midfield and he showed that,” according to liverpoolfc.com. He was outstanding, and what a way for him to begin his Liverpool career, as well as Endo.

The Merseysiders have had a strong start to the 2023–24 season, winning all but one of their first six games in all competitions.

Few would have predicted that Gravenberch, a former star of Bayern Munich, would put up such an intriguing display in Jurgen Klopp’s entirely revamped starting lineup following the 3-1 victory over Wolves.

Although there are still some bugs in his game that need to be worked out, most notably how frequently he gives the ball away, there is no denying that Liverpool has a player on their hands.

If the Dutch international can build on this encouraging first start in Liverpool colors, Tuchel’s loss, dare we say, seems set to be our own German tactician’s benefit.
