Mohamed Salah might eventually leave Liverpool for a record sum.

The Egyptian was the target of several sizable offers from Saudi Arabia this summer, and it appears that they won’t let up now.

Indeed, further offers are anticipated in January and the following summer, and as the Saudi clubs grow more and more keen to sign the most prominent Muslim player in international football to their league, John Aldridge, speaking on the Aldo Meets Podcast, said that Salah will be worth £250 million the following year.

Salah will be worth $250 million.

Aldridge made a judgment about the winger.

“My position on Mo differs. I must state this. We have the largest diamond in the world with Mo. The greatest Muslim player ever is 31 years old and can continue to play in this league until he is 35. He is incredibly fit, so they can have him for many years to come and play in their league until he is 40. At the end of this season, I’m telling you right now, he will be worth £250 million with one year left on his contract. He is regarded for that there, not just for football reasons but also for other reasons. That is how I approach it, Aldridge added.

No barrier

It may sound absurd to say that a player with one year left on his contract will be worth £250 million, but the Saudis now have no restrictions on spending money.

If they are that desperate for Salah, they might have to pay that outrageous fee because they have an endless supply of money.

Of course, whether or not they decide to pursue that sum is still up in the air, but it wouldn’t come as a surprise if this deal eventually surpasses the £200 million mark.
