The new Liverpool midfielder has been rewarded for a strong first month of play in English football, but he isn’t quite content.

Dominik Szoboszlai, a midfielder for Liverpool, has warned the Reds’ rivals that there is more to come from him and Jürgen Klopp’s squad.

After a strong start to the season following his $75 million (£60 million/€69 million) summer transfer from RB Leipzig, the 22-year-old international from Hungary was named Men’s Player of the Month. Szoboszlai has played a significant role in Liverpool’s impressive performances, propelling them win four victories in a row and temporarily taking the top spot in the Premier League standings.

Szoboszlai scored his debut goal for the team with a potent left-footed half-volley as Liverpool defeated Aston Villa 3-0. Along with fellow newcomer Alexis Mac Allister, he arrived at Anfield during the summer as part of Liverpool’s midfield reconstruction.

Both players have had strong starts to their Liverpool careers, solidifying their roles as important midfield players. Szoboszlai hopes to gain knowledge from his more seasoned teammates, but he feels there is still potential for development.

According to Szoboszlai, there is always more to come, according to Liverpoolfc.com. “I can definitely get better, and I also try to learn from the players who have been here for close to seven years, if not longer, or perhaps a little bit less. I’m trying to follow their instructions and just keep doing this.

Szoboszlai won the Men’s Player of the Month title over rivals such colleagues Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, and Darwin Nez thanks to his outstanding achievements. It’s an excellent feeling. I appreciate your support, everyone,” he stated.

“I’m just doing my thing, helping the team, and happy that I can give my best. It (the start) was also for me a surprise but thanks to the guys and thanks to the manager. It’s easier that way if I have somebody who is helping me.”

The teenage midfielder also talked about how thrilled he was to play at Anfield in front of the Liverpool supporters. Szoboszlai continued, “It was the first thing that came to my mind – how it’s going to be to play at Anfield in front of them (the fans), or even in away games. They are constantly present. I’m overjoyed to see them having fun.
