JUST IN : Alabama Crimson Tide football expected to hire USC assistant coach…

Alabama football is expected to make a significant coaching addition as the Crimson Tide pursue a seasoned assistant from the USC Trojans to join their staff ahead of the 2026 season. According to multiple reports from national outlets, powerhouse head coach Kalen DeBoer and his staff are closing in on hiring Adrian Klemm, currently a USC offensive analyst, as Alabama’s next offensive line coach.

Klemm’s potential arrival in Tuscaloosa comes as part of a broader reshaping of the Tide’s coaching roster after a challenging 2025 campaign and the departure of longtime offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic. Sources tell CBS Sports insider Matt Zenitz that Klemm is expected to take over the unit in hopes of strengthening one of the program’s core position groups.

What makes Klemm particularly intriguing as a hire is his extensive resume across both college football and the NFL. Before his recent role at USC under head coach Lincoln Riley, Klemm served as offensive line coach for NFL teams including the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers and held coordinator and position roles at schools like Oregon and UCLA. His track record includes developing All-American linemen and coaching units that performed at high levels in major offensive categories.

Alabama’s interest in Klemm underscores the priority the program is placing on revitalizing its offensive front. The 2025 offensive line struggled at times, leading to inconsistency in the run game and protection schemes. Bringing in a coach with both professional and collegiate experience signals a strategic move to bring stability and renewed physicality to the unit.

Fans and analysts around the college football world are already discussing the potential impact of such a hire. Many view Klemm’s blend of high-level playing and coaching experience — including his time mentoring NFL linemen and working in top college programs — as a major asset for Alabama’s rebuilding efforts.

While an official announcement from the University of Alabama has not yet been made public, the convergence of reports from reputable sports news sources suggests the deal is nearly complete. If finalized, this move would represent one of the most consequential staff additions for the Crimson Tide this offseason as they prepare for a pivotal 2026 campaign.
