The NFL free agency period has seen no action from the Dallas Cowboys. It has been a hot topic of discussion. The San Francisco 49ers, the reigning NFC Champions, are an exception to this rule.

It seems that the Cowboys have now triumphed over their fierce opponents.

All-Pro linebacker Eric Kendricks was released by the Los Angeles Chargers, and early on Wednesday morning, it was reported that he had signed with the 49ers.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Kendricks has changed his mind and intends to sign a contract with the Cowboys. Following his tenure as linebacker coach with the Minnesota Vikings from 2015 to 21, Mike Zimmer, the new defensive coordinator for Dallas, wanted Kendricks to follow him to the capital. Kendricks, meanwhile, was more inclined to sign with the ‘Boys.

The 32-year-old Kendricks played for the Chargers last season. With 117 total tackles, he led the defense and served as a team captain.

The former UCLA second-round selection spent his first eight seasons as a member of the Vikings. Among them was being recognized as an All-Pro and Pro Bowl player in Minnesota in 2019. He will now be the cornerstone of one of the NFL’s top defenses.
