All across their roster, the New York Mets require assistance.

When a team finishes fourth in the NL East and wins 75 games in the previous season, that is typically the case.

On the other hand, it is expected of the Mets to contend for a World Series every season.

They must add some impact players if they want to accomplish that in 2024.

While the Mets have added a few intriguing players thus far this offseason, nothing particularly noteworthy has been added.

Harrison Bader, Sean Manaea, and Luis Severino are interesting additions.

It won’t, however, elevate the Mets to new heights.

The bullpen is an area the Mets still need to work on.

Aroldis Chapman, a former All-Star closer, seems to be the subject of their investigation.

Andy Martino of SNY Mets reports that the Mets have shown interest in Chapman.

The Mets are a team that frequently makes large free agency expenditures.

With a few well-known names available, they still have a chance to accomplish it.

The Mets will have elite closer Edwin Diaz back for the upcoming season.

He was sidelined for the entire previous season due to an ACL tear.

However, he is among baseball’s best closers when healthy.

The roles of any additional relievers the Mets add to their bullpen will be setup or middle relief.

The Mets’ success this season will hinge on their capacity to maintain their current level of health.

However, it appears that they intend to take some action in the offseason to improve their position.
