The Detroit Lions will play in their first NFC Championship Game since 1991 after defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The San Francisco 49ers, who are competing for their fourth NFC Championship in the previous five years, will be their opponents.

The 49ers seem to be under a lot of strain. This was the same squad that many believe has the greatest starting lineup in all of football. After narrowly edging the Green Bay Packers in the divisional round, they will take on the Lions, who won five of their six divisional games this season. In the meanwhile, the Lions stand to gain nothing. They’ve already exceeded everyone’s expectations and inspired the whole city of Detroit.

This seems like a David vs. Goliath clash on paper. Even though they haven’t won a Super Bowl, one club is full with Pro Bowl players and has had a ton of success recently. For almost a decade, the other has been the NFL’s laughingstock. By all means, the 49ers should win this game, but the Lions are a very skilled team and they know how to employ their formidable weapon.

What you should know is as follows.
