The Rams defeated Sam Darnold and the 49ers on Sunday. Mostly, this game was a fight of backups, with San Francisco leading the most of the way. Jake Moody of the Niners missed a field goal as well as an extra point, which would have given Los Angeles the advantage.

With one minute remaining, the Rams had a chance to end the game. With 50 seconds remaining and no timeouts, they had a last shot to give the Niners what they needed—9 yards, but they were short and had to punt. The drive began with a 20-yard reception, which gave hope for the drive. It was swiftly examined, though, and modified to an incomplete pass.

What many fans had become accustomed to witnessing from Darnold during his Jets playing days came next. What does he do when he has the ball on the thirty-yard line and is down just one point? In the face of pressure, he fumbles and scrambles. The Rams would rally and finish the contest in winning position. After this victory, Los Angeles secured the sixth seed and will now take on Detroit, Stafford’s old team, as the three-seeded opponent.

Bold Prediction for the NFC Wild Card Game between the Rams and Lions

The Rams are going to Detroit to take care of the Lions. Although Detroit has been playing well all season, the Rams are a more underappreciated club. The Rams feature Kyren Williams, a brilliant running back, and Puka Nacua, a possible Rookie of the Year. The Rams made the most of the picks they kept, despite the fact that we all know they sacrificed a ton of picks in recent years to get to the Super Bowl.

All the Rams need to do to win this game is get Kyren going. One of the great shocks in the NBA this season is Williams, who has been outstanding this year. Last season, he lagged behind Cam Akers and was never given the opportunity to fully realize his potential. With over 1,100 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, Williams has flourished in the starting position.

How the Rams Are Going to Win

Cooper Kupp and Nacua will be able to flourish if the Rams are able to establish a strong running game. Stafford will be able to defeat the club that selected him in the draft. Though the Lions are hungry and will not be easily defeated, especially at their own stadium, he has all the weapons necessary to succeed.

With Amon Ra St-Brown and Jahmyr Gibbs spearheading the Lions’ offensive assault, everything is in place for this to be an offensive war. Aidan Hutchinson will probably put pressure on Stafford during the game, and his presence may have a significant effect. Expect an all-out brawl on Sunday at 8 p.m. EST.
