The Los Angeles Rams are one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now as they’ve won four out of their last five games, with the lone loss coming in overtime against the Baltimore Ravens.

After losing a number of their veteran players and stars in the offseason, the Rams appeared to be punting on the 2023 NFL season. However, by selecting well in multiple 2023 NFL Draft picks, the team has accelerated its rebuilding process.

Though Matthew Stafford also merits recognition, head coach Sean McVay should take a great deal of credit for leading this team to where they are now.

With the exception of a game-ending thumb injury, Stafford has maintained his health and appears to be much the same quarterback that guided Los Angeles to victory in the Super Bowl.

The Rams have the final Wild Card spot after defeating the Washington Commanders in Week 15, but Stafford and the rest of the team aren’t happy, according to Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic.

“To be honest with you, I don’t think anyone is happy right now. You’re not in the right place if that’s the case. There’s a lot to be had throughout the rest of the season. We recognize that we must approach each game as it comes,” said Stafford.

This Thursday Night Football matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and the New Orleans Saints is crucial for both clubs as they compete for postseason berths.

Stafford needs to continue playing at this level if they are to defeat the Saints. Lately, he has been playing some of his best football.
