S Budda Baker of the #AZCardinals has been added to the injury report due to an illness. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network said on Sunday morning that “he’s questionable.”
Ahead of their Week 15 matchup with the 49ers, the Cardinals must deal with some difficult news. If the All-Pro defensive back Budda Baker is sidelined due to an injury, the Arizona defense will find itself in even more trouble than it is now.
Baker has only appeared in eight games this season, but with 58 tackles, he ranks third on the team. It will be a big problem for the Cardinals without him when they play the ferociously frightening 49ers offensive line, led by NFL MVP contender Brock Purdy. With players like Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, and Brandon Aiyuk, the 49ers are arguably the most dangerous offense in the league.
These NFC West rivals will play each other twice this season. Back in Week 4, the 49ers defeated the Cardinals with ease, 35-16. That game and this one differ greatly in that Josh Dobbs was started by the Cardinals while Kyler Murray was still recovering from knee surgery.
Even though Murray is back for Arizona, the Cardinals’ chances of winning are still slim. This week’s biggest spread on the NFL schedule is 12.5 points.
