For Tennessee supporters, winning is obviously the most important thing, but there is a feeling that the Volunteers cannot afford to continue overlooking individual performances that repeatedly create problems. Against Georgia Tech, Tennessee showed plenty of offensive firepower and enough resilience to secure a convincing road victory, yet the performance also exposed areas that could become much more costly once SEC competition becomes increasingly difficult.
The frustration has therefore shifted toward Heupel and his willingness to stick with his current lineup. Fans believe that competition for starting positions should be intense, particularly on a team with postseason aspirations.
