Given the severity of DiSandro’s punishment, the NFL has made it very clear that no one on the sidelines should ever interfere with a game.

During last week’s game between the conference rival Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers, one of the most bizarre plays in history took place. Everyone’s nerves were further heightened by 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel’s usual trash talk with Philadelphia players and fans before the game.

Subsequently, the most significant altercation of the match occurred when 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw successfully threw a Philadelphia ball carrier offside. The play was peculiar, resembling a professional wrestling match rather than a football game. Everyone attacked Greenlaw, including Dom DiSandro, the head of security, which has caused a great deal of controversy over the past week.

The Big Man of the Eagles accepts his penalty

DiSandro was given his punishment for his actions in the Greenlaw Incident on Saturday morning. The head of security will not be allowed to watch the Eagles’ Sunday game in Dallas against the Cowboys, according to an NFL decision. DiSandro won’t be able to physically attend the game, but he will still be able to travel to Dallas and fulfill all of his obligations to the team, underscoring the ridiculousness of the penalty.

The league’s move to ban the Eagles employee is obviously an attempt to discourage anyone else on the sidelines from interacting with players from the other team. In my opinion, the league is defaming DiSandro because, in the video, DiSandro is seen picking up the Eagles player before Greenlaw confronts him.

It’s obvious that the league uses DiSandro as more of an example to stop similar incidents from occurring in the future. Or, to keep everyone from noticing how much the league is savoring the attention. After all, with the absurd amount of drama in each play, the NFL has practically turned into the WWE at this point.
