Miami Heat center It’s difficult for Thomas Bryant to find minutes on the court.

Center The Miami Heat’s starting frontcourt lineup is starting to lose Thomas Bryant.

However, why?

In recent weeks, Bryant has been a healthy scratch in several games despite his strong start to the season. Orlando Robinson seems to be the better fit for the backup role that he was supposed to play for All-Star Bam Adebayo.

It’s crucial to remember that Bryant’s minutes remain constant throughout games even when Adebayo is injured.

Robinson played 29 minutes in the Indiana Pacers game on Saturday. Bryant didn’t see the court, but he scored 16 points and pulled down five rebounds on 63.6 percent shooting. But Robinson’s consistent performance isn’t the cause of his limited playing time.

Bryant is a dynamic player that offers strong interior defense. On the offensive end of the court, his shortcomings are still present. He has little display of making mid-range or three-pointers, and he cannot stretch the floor.

Strangely enough, Bryant’s first healthy scratch came the first game following guard Tyler Herro’s injury. Bryant may be getting less playing time because he is arguably Miami’s best scoring threat. Bryant will be able to secure a spot in the starting lineup when Herro makes his anticipated return in December.
