Here, the Philadelphia Refereeagles are in motion!

The Philadelphia Eagles, also known as the Refereeagles, not only have the referees on their side, but they have also added to their defensive line depth by signing three-time All-Pro linebacker Shaquille Leonard to a one-year contract on Monday.

The Indianapolis Colts released Leonard last month in a move he called “shocking.” He has since visited with teams, Philadelphia being one of them. (RELATED: Big Dom, the head of security for the Philadelphia Eagles, may be facing “significant punishment” for his bossy nature.)

Leonard also visited the Dallas Cowboys, the team the Birds will face in Week 14 and their rivals.

Due to his declining role and the lack of explosiveness and productivity Indianapolis was receiving from him, Leonard was cut by the Colts. He underwent two back surgeries in 2022 to address nerve problems that were causing damage to his lower body.

Since the Philadelphia Eagles acquired him for a low price, I think this move is risk-free.

Shaquille Leonard may no longer be a superstar, but that’s not necessary for him to play on this Eagles defense. Everything else would fall into place after the Eagles needed only a small amount of productivity here and there. Who knows? Maybe Leonard still has some juice left.

Cheers, Eagles supporters. Well done, having the referees cheer you on with pride.
