It is purported that Von Miller physically assaulted his children’s mother at their Dallas apartment.

Von Miller, a linebacker for the Buffalo Bills, is accused of hitting a pregnant woman in Dallas.

Miller was charged with assault of a pregnant person when he turned himself in to the Glenn Heights Police Department following the issuance of a domestic violence warrant for his arrest by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office. Miller was taken to the DeSoto Regional Jail, “where he was booked in without incident, posted bond, and released,” according to the police department.

Miller is accused of third-degree felony assault of a pregnant woman, which carries a two-to ten-year prison sentence and a $10,000 fine, according to NFL.com. On Nov. 30, after posting $5,000 bail, he was freed.

Miller is accused by police of abusing his children’s mother, according to the Associated Press. Together, they have three children and have been involved for seven years. Miller is accused of putting his hands on the woman’s neck, yanking out a few of her hair, and throwing her onto a couch. Police stated that she received treatment for minor wounds.

They got into an argument on Wednesday, and police were called to their apartment. Miller was “visibly angry,” according to the police, when his children’s mother entered the apartment’s office and shut the door behind her. She attempted to grab her phone and laptop after Miller told her to leave, and Miller allegedly began pushing her.

She called out, “Stop,” several times as he was doing it. According to the affidavit, “I’m pregnant.” After she fell into a chair, Miller placed his hands on her neck and applied pressure for three to five seconds, according to the police report. Miller then stomped on her laptop after throwing it to the ground. She claims he threw her on a couch and pulled out some of her hair.

She informed him that there was video evidence of part of the assault. He left the apartment after she told him she was going to call the police.

She also showed police officers a photo of a positive pregnancy test and revealed to them that she was six weeks pregnant. She also shared a screen grab of a text exchange in which she informed Miller about the baby’s potential due date and an appointment with the doctor.

According to CBS News, Kevin Kearns, the director of communications for the Buffalo Bills, stated, “This morning, we were made aware of an incident involving Von Miller.” “At this time, we won’t be making any more comments while we gather more information.”

The NFL made no further comments other than to state that it was “aware of the matter and have been in contact with the club.”
