Prior to their Wednesday game against the Mavs, the Lakers have released their most recent injury report, which includes LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Several prominent players should be kept an eye on the injury report prior to the Dallas Mavericks’ Wednesday night game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Final medical updates will be given prior to tipoff.

The injury report now includes Leron James (left calf contusion), who is doubtful to play against the Mavs. He only had to play 24 minutes in the Lakers’ rout of the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night, but he still finished with 17 points, 7 assists, and 9 assists.

Given that James is one of the best players in NBA history, the Mavs should be pretty excited about this matchup if they do end up playing him.

“Anytime you’re going against one of the greatest of all time, how can you not wake up for that?” Hardaway posed a hypothetical question. “Right now, LeBron is surrounded by a fantastic group of players who are playing incredibly hard and effectively. And I’ll be competing on both ends of the court there.

“We just got to match their intensity,” Hardaway explained. “We know it’s going to be a dog fight, so we got to go out there and be ready for it.”

The Lakers’ injury report also lists Anthony Davis, but it lists him as probable to play due to a left adductor injury. In just 29 minutes against the Jazz, Davis finished with an incredible 26 points, 16 rebounds, four assists, and two steals, leading the Lakers to a perfect record in the NBA In-Season Tournament.

According to the Lakers’ injury report, Jalen Hood-Schifino, Gabe Vincent, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Cam Reddish are all out. Reddish had been playing well lately for Los Angeles, but they had to deal with Vincent and Vanderbilt’s injuries.

Superstars Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic for the Mavs are both healthy and listed as unavailable on the injury report. Maxi Kleber’s continuous injury recovery has been managed by the team as he gets better from a dislocation of his right small toe sustained earlier in the season.

Following a two-game losing streak with two full days to recover, the Mavs will surely need to capitalize against an injured Lakers team to avoid this slide extending to three straight games.
