Following their League Cup progress, Liverpool will play five times in thirteen days over the Christmas break. The date of their quarterfinal matchup against West Ham has been confirmed.

With a 2-1 victory over Bournemouth on Wednesday night, the Reds advanced to the League Cup quarterfinals, adding another match to the festive schedule.

In the second draw, Liverpool was chosen as the hosts, and West Ham was drawn out of a hat.

As planned, that match will take place on Wednesday, December 20, starting at 8 p.m. GMT. Live coverage of the match will be provided by Sky Sports.

It comes into play in the midst of a run of five games in 13 days, including home matches against Man United (Dec. 17) and Arsenal (Dec. 23).

After the trip to Crystal Palace on December 9, Jurgen Klopp’s team will have four days off. They will then play the following games:

  • Union SG (A) – Europa League – Thursday, December 14
  • Man United (H) – Premier League – Sunday, December 17
  • West Ham (H) – League Cup – Wednesday, December 20
  • Arsenal (H) – Premier League – Saturday, December 23
  • Burnley (A) – Premier League – Tuesday, December 26

It will be a trying time for Klopp’s team, and the hope will be that they can stay healthy and in shape before, during, and after the test.

The manager has been able to switch between twice-weekly League Cup, Premier League, and Europa League matches thus far this season with minimal performance variance.

It will be crucial to avoid injuries in the upcoming months, and it will surely help that players like Ben Doak, Stefan Bajcetic, and Conor Bradley are back.
