Mohamed Salah, in Jurgen Klopp’s opinion, will only become better for Liverpool.
With his goal in Thursday’s crushing of Toulouse, Salah broke Thierry Henry’s record for the most goals scored by a Premier League player in European tournaments.
The Anfield management outright rejected the Egyptian’s overtures last summer, but he is still connected to a lucrative move to the Saudi Pro League.
And because of his unwavering work ethic and dedication to maintaining optimal physical health, Klopp is sure that Salah, 31, will surpass his present accomplishments with the Reds.
“Mo doesn’t behave like [he is 31] at all,” he stated.
“He acts like a mature man off the pitch, yet he is still a youthful player in other respects.
“He’s really fit. If we were to scan him, I believe most of the bones would be between 19 and 20 years old! He simply maintains such excellent physical health.
“It has to do with comprehending the game. We attempt to provide young players with that. When they all wrap up their careers at age 35, they all have a vast amount of football knowledge.
“However, the more valuable this information is, the sooner in their career you obtain it.
“Mo clearly has a much better understanding of the spaces and how players react to him. Even if he is unable to score, he can still pose a threat to us.” That is extremely, extremely crucial.
“He has been our go-to guy for a very long time,” the Liverpool boss continued.
“However, he is developing in his role for us in football and possibly in general to demonstrate that, at the highest level, it is important to savour the moment before moving on.
“That is undoubtedly what he is doing. I was unaware of the record, but he scored a fantastic goal that was extremely well-made. If I had been interested in that, he might have broken a few more records.
“He is an amazing player, and we will all love him even more when his career is over because then everyone will look back and say, ‘Wow, we witnessed something truly exceptional.'”
