Midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, who recently joined Liverpool from Bayern Munich, has talked about adjusting to life at the team.
Jurgen Klopp rebuilt the Reds’ midfield during the transfer season, and the 21-year-old joined the German’s team in a move for up to £38 million.
Since joining the team, Gravenberch has already made an impression on Klopp and the supporters, thanks to a fantastic debut against LASK in the Europa League.
The Dutchman has acknowledged having one problem since relocating to Anfield, though.
Gravenberch discusses his accent issues
Gravenberch acknowledged in a Saturday Social interview that he still has trouble understanding the scouse accent.
“If I’m honest, when they speak sometimes I have to think hard and then I can sort of understand what they’re saying.
“Maybe in a couple of weeks, I can get used to it because it’s tough. My scouse accent is okay, but maybe if I’m here long enough it’ll get better!”
Gravenberch seems like a good addition.
Gravenberch hasn’t been forced into action, which was a wise decision on Klopp’s part given that he hasn’t played extensively.
It will be interesting to see how Gravenberch performs for Liverpool when he shifts up gears and gets up to speed.
Although £38 million may appear expensive for a 21-year-old, under Klopp’s direction, he might develop into a player of the highest calibre.
