During the international break, an unanticipated injury blow shocked Liverpool.

According to recent sources, Liverpool has been shaken by what may turn out to be a devastating injury blow for Jurgen Klopp during the most recent international break.

Updates on Liverpool’s transfers including Andre, Hincapie, and Kone

The Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie’s entourage has been in contact with Liverpool, according to a transfer update from Football Insider reporter Pete O’Rourke. However, the report claims that they are unlikely to make a move for the Ecuadorian international in the January transfer window.

Andre from Fluminense is a more likely target for Klopp as he attempts to bolster his midfield, and it is thought that Liverpool won’t make any transfers in either position. Although Liverpool is in “pole position” to sign the 22-year-old Brazilian midfielder, they will have to outbid prestigious clubs from across Europe.

Further Liverpool transfer news comes from SPORT BILD reporter Christian Falk, who claimed on social networking site X that the Reds are still interested in Borussia Monchengladbach’s Manu Kone, 22, adding: “True Bayern is interested in Manu Koné (22).” Liverpool is still keeping an eye on the Monchengladbach midfielder.

According to the official website of Liverpool, Mohamed Salah, an Egyptian player, has learned who his nation’s opponents would be in Group B of the 2019 African Cup of Nations. The Pharaohs will compete against Ghana, Cape Verde, and Mozambique.

Liverpool will return to action against Everton in the Premier League on October 21 at Anfield after the end of the current international break.

Andy Robertson injury update for Liverpool

Following reports that Andy Robertson, 29, dislocated his shoulder while representing Scotland in a EURO 2024 qualifying match against Spain in Seville, The Athletic has released an important injury update regarding the Liverpool player.

Robertson has travelled back to his club for evaluation, and if surgery is not necessary to correct his shoulder condition, he might miss three to six weeks of action.

The former Hull City player might be sidelined for up to six months and so potentially out of action until next April if he does need surgery, which would be a terrible scenario for Liverpool manager Klopp.

Robertson, who has accumulated nine goals and 63 assists in 275 games for Liverpool across all competitions, has been dubbed “absolutely exceptional” by Klopp in the past and is one of his first names on the teamsheet at Anfield (Robertson statistics – Transfermarkt).

Despite this, Robertson may be expected to miss a significant amount of time. As a result, Kostas Tsimikas, who has only played four minutes of Premier League football this season, is likely to temporarily replace Robertson in the starting lineup.
