On Thursday night, Liverpool star Harvey Elliott gave a masterclass while representing the England Under-21 team.

The Young Lions beat Serbia 9-1 in European qualifying as the Reds forward scored twice and provided an assist for a third.

With nine Reds appearances under his belt this year, Elliott is making waves in the Liverpool senior team.

The Anfield gem, who perhaps had his best game of his career thus far, will now look to continue.

The U21 England team actually gave up first, after 27 minutes, and trailed for the majority of the first half.

Jaden Philogene responded with a goal in the 38th minute, though, and the floodgates really began to open after that.

The Hull City star, Elliott, and Chelsea’s Noni Madueke all finished the game with two goals each.

Liam Delap, Nathan Rowe and Luka Subotic’s own goal added gloss to the scoreline for Lee Carsley’s charges.

Liverpool’s Elliott got his first in first-half injury time, firing into the top corner of the opposition net from range.

His next G/A contribution was a cross for Jonathan Rowe’s 89th-minute header, before the Liverpool ace wrapped up the score in the 91st minute with a calm finish.

Elliott received a perfect score of 10 points from Sofascore for his performance that evening.

He received 94 touches, made five crucial passes, four accurate long balls, and three precise crosses.

The Liverpool star gave a flawless performance. It will be fascinating to see him improve and advance as a player.
