According to Spanish reports, Rodrygo’s time at Real Madrid is over. This is good news for Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool, who are interested in the winger as a potential Mohamed Salah replacement.

Liverpool turned down a £150 million offer from Saudi Pro League team Al-Ittihad for Salah, but new and improved offers are anticipated in January and the summer for the Egyptian.

According to reports from earlier this month, Rodrygo has been identified by Liverpool as the “ideal” replacement for Salah, and the Brazilian international is “ready to leave” after failing to match his previous season under Carlo Ancelotti’s guidance.

The 22-year-old has been hindered by the formation change, which has seen Jude Bellingham play the No. 10 position, leaving Rodrygo more of a striker than a winger alongside Joselu. It is easy to see why he would covet Salah’s role wide on the right for Liverpool.

And Nacional now asserts in their article titled “Rodrygo, KO, Real Madrid Accepts 100 Million, It’s Over” that the Spanish powerhouses will permit Rodrygo to leave.

The report uses the winger’s frequent game time against him, pointing out that he’s only managed one goal with no assists and that that’s only given him enough time to claim that he is “very far from his best version.” That seems a bit unlikely given that Rodrygo has started every game for Madrid this season.

Further, it is asserted that “Florentino Pérez was confident he would take a step forward after Karim Benzema’s march to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad, but he has taken a step back.”

There are several teams listed as interested, including Tottenham, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain, but “those of Jurgen Klopp are the ones who bet the strongest on ’11’, and would be able to offer an amount close to €100m”

That would most likely only be the case if Mohamed Salah actually moved to Saudi Arabia, which would be unlikely in January, especially if Liverpool are in the running for a significant trophy.

Salah, however, is rumored to have been interested in the move during the summer and may try to leave if a better offer comes along.
