After tempting Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia away from Liverpool in the summer, Chelsea supporters had a great time, and they may potentially do the same with Patrick Dorgu.
Caicedo and Lavia were the Reds’ top two midfield targets in the summer. They bet much on both of them, but Jurgen Klopp was rejected by the players, who instead transferred to Chelsea.
History could repeat itself soon.
Liverpool objective Patrick Dorgu claims that playing for Chelsea is his dream.
Numerous teams are interested in Patrick Dorgu of Leece, including Liverpool.
The 18-year-old is incredibly gifted. At the beginning of this season, he made his Serie A debut for Leece, but things may have turned out very differently if his agency hadn’t stepped in during the summer.
Kingsley Ogbodo, Dorgu’s agent, stated in June that Liverpool had expressed a genuine interest in signing him. He disclosed that Barcelona and Manchester City were also considering signing him.
Ogbodo, however, asserts that he told his young client to reject Liverpool since doing so would limit his playing opportunities to the U23 team rather than the main team.
Young Dorgu is still reportedly being watched by Liverpool, Manchester City, and Barcelona, but the defender has his sights set on another Premier League; he has openly stated that his desire is to play for Chelsea.
Dorgu stated to Ekstra Bladet, “Playing for Chelsea is my dream.
“Playing for them would be a huge dream for me because I’ve been a fan of them for more than ten years.”
A further one of their goals joining Chelsea would be the last thing Liverpool supporters would want to happen.
In the summer, the Reds came very, very close to signing Moises Caicedo. They had an agreement with Brighton and Hove Albion, who had authorized the Ecuadorian to visit Anfield for a physical.
But just when the transfer appeared to be a formality, Caicedo changed his mind and declared that Chelsea was the only team he wanted to join instead of Liverpool. Romeo Lavia quickly followed suit, delivering Klopp’s team a devastating blow.
Liverpool did well to bounce back during the window, but many of their supporters still find it annoying to recall those wild few days.
