Last night, Liverpool came from behind to win their first Europa League game as a new addition made his presence felt.

Ryan Gravenberch made his debut for Liverpool in their first Europa League group match, which has undoubtedly gotten supporters buzzing.

Gravenberch, 21, was underutilized by Bayern Munich last season and left in a £34 million trade this summer.

Prior to that, he was one of Ajax’s top young midfield talents in Europe. Liverpool hopes to discover this enormous potential over the next few years, and last night was undoubtedly a solid beginning.

He made his first start since the end of May, starting in a midfield three with Wataru Endo, another summer recruit, and teenager Harvey Elliott. He lasted 74 minutes until leaving with cramp.

His most notable performance was his assist for Luis Diaz on his debut. He made an immediate impact on the right wing, breaking through to produce an early curled low cross for the Colombian to power in.

Additionally, he generated the most opportunities overall (5), was fouled the most (four), and made eight recoveries.

Even though he only won 50% of his 10 duels and turned the ball over 17 times, it was a much-needed start after a period of inactivity.

It is clear from the fact that he only started three league games last year that his desire to play regular football is the key driver behind his move to Liverpool.

Although there is fierce competition in Jurgen Klopp’s engine room, he will undoubtedly see enough action in the Premier League, domestic cup tournaments, and Europa League games.

One fan said: “If Liverpool can refine Ryan Gravenberch, we’ve got a star.” Fans were ecstatic with his performance and several pointed out how he may develop into a future star at the club. Physically very strong and aesthetically so attractive.

Another person responded, “Funnily enough, this is a rusty version of gravenberch; he’ll look immense with more game time.”

The return of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szobozlai will only leave one spot open for Stefan Bajcetic, Endo, Curtis Jones, and Elliott to compete for on Sunday against West Ham, making it doubtful that he will start.

However, Liverpool’s newest Dutch player had a successful vacation to Austria.
