BOL has confirmed that Alabama Crimson Tide has officially hired its new Director of Football Recruiting Operations, signaling another strategic move behind the scenes as the program continues to sharpen its recruiting machine. The decision was finalized quietly but swiftly, underscoring Alabama’s emphasis on structure, continuity, and elite-level organization.

Danielle Braswell will step into the role, replacing Carrigan Johnson, who recently departed the position. Braswell’s appointment fills a critical vacancy within the program’s infrastructure, one that directly impacts daily recruiting logistics, on-campus visits, and long-term personnel strategy.
Braswell arrives in Tuscaloosa with a strong résumé and extensive SEC experience. Most recently, she served as Executive Director of Recruiting at Kentucky Wildcats, where she played a central role in modernizing recruiting operations and coordinating high-volume official visits in a highly competitive conference environment.
Prior to her time at Kentucky, Braswell was also the Director of On-Campus Recruiting at Texas A&M Aggies. There, she gained hands-on experience managing elite prospect visits, NIL-era logistics, and large-scale recruiting weekends—skills that translate directly to the demands of Alabama’s national recruiting footprint.
Within the program, the hire is viewed as a seamless fit. Alabama’s recruiting operations demand precision, discretion, and constant adaptability, and Braswell is widely respected for her attention to detail and ability to manage complex systems without disruption. Her background positions her to make an immediate impact as the Tide navigate increasingly competitive recruiting cycles.
As Alabama continues to evolve in the modern college football landscape, this move reinforces the program’s commitment to excellence off the field as much as on it. By bringing in a proven recruiting operations leader, the Crimson Tide once again signal that sustained dominance is built not just by stars on signing day—but by elite infrastructure working year-round.
