Bidding adieu, the former quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers is headed to the Titans.

Mason Rudolph, a former quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, has agreed to a one-year contract to join the Tennessee Titans this offseason. Before starting his eighth NFL season and donning a new helmet for the first time since being selected, he bid farewell to the Pittsburgh organization and supporters.

Rudolph said goodbye to everyone who has supported him during his time in Pittsburgh, including the Rooney family, his teammates, coaches, and Steelers fans, in an Instagram post.

“For the past 6 years, it has been a privilege to be part of the Pittsburgh community and represent the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“To my teammates, coaches, staff, Art Rooney, the Rooney family, Thomas Tull, Larry Paul, and the rest of the Steelers organization: Thank you for changing my life forever six years ago when you gave me the opportunity to wear the Black & Gold.

“To the fans—your love and passion for the team is what makes it so special to play here. I will never forget playing in front of Yinz one final time this past December. All the Best. MR,” Rudolph wrote.

He may be on the rise in his NFL career following the performance he had in his final four games with the Steelers. It’s unclear if he’ll get a chance to contend for the starting job with the Titans.

The Steelers looked at Rudolph as an option, and occasionally their best one, for the most of the offseason before moving on to Russell Wilson and then Justin Fields, radically altering their quarterback room.

He is bidding farewell to the place where he was selected six years ago as he starts his campaign with only his second NFL franchise.
