Following a fight that broke out late in the Golden State Warriors’ 97-84 victory over the Charlotte Hornets at Chase Center in San Francisco, California, on Friday, Lester Quinones uttered some derogatory remarks about Grant Williams.
With 12.2 seconds remaining, Quinones received the ball beneath the hoop and tried a layup, giving the Warriors the advantage 95-84. Miles Bridges attempted to block the shot since he didn’t appreciate the late scoring effort. After he was penalized for goaltending, there was a brawl beneath the basket.
Grant Williams entered the scene and attempted to assume command of the circumstance. Quinones, however, was having none of it and told Williams flat out twice, “you’re a b-tch.”
Bridges received a technical foul call, and Quinones and Williams were both sent out.
Williams waved goodbye to the Warriors bench after being ejected.
After the game, players from both teams got together to discuss concerns.
