Following wild celebrations following the San Francisco 49ers’ NFC Championship Game victory on Sunday, there was a gunshot on Monday and many fires that are being looked into.

Officers responded to a probable gunfire incident at 11:57 p.m. on Folsom Street between 24th and 25th streets, which is adjacent to closed-off traffic corridors. They discovered a victim of a gunshot wound when they got there.

Preliminary information indicates that someone fired a shot into a car, and the occupants fired back. The Standard was informed by San Francisco Fire Lt. Mariano Elias that one patient was transported to a hospital for treatment. On Monday morning, the victim’s health was not immediately known.

First responders were called to the neighborhood earlier in the evening due to previous events. Firefighters from San Francisco responded to a two-vehicle incident at Alabama and Cesar Chavez streets on Sunday at 9:10 p.m. When they got there, they discovered an SUV on its side. At the site, three patients were attended to, one of whom was not wearing a seatbelt.

On Sunday night, three small fires were put out in 90 minutes by firefighters as well. Christmas trees and other waste were apparently implicated in the flames.

At 10:19 p.m., a road in the vicinity of Fell and Broadrick streets caught fire. According to Lt. Elias, the other two fires occurred at 10:59 p.m. at 19th and Shotwell streets and 11:37 p.m. at 17th and Texas streets.

According to CHP Officer Mark Andrews, who spoke with The Standard, by midnight, numerous off-ramps for Interstate 280 and Highway 101 that had been scheduled for shutdown to help San Francisco police with celebration traffic had been reopened.
